Arma 3 British Milsim
VOLCBAT is an Arma 3 British milsim unit. Formed in 2003, we model 3 (Morton) Platoon, A Company, 1st Battalion The Volunteer Commandos (1VCB), a British Army infantry battalion attached to 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines.
Ran by current and former UK Armed Forces members, we strike a balance of realism, by using real-world tactics and techniques adapted to the game, whilst leaving out military formalities and other trappings that don't enhance the gameplay.
We get you ready to play in our Phase 1 training, which covers fundamental infantry skills like target indications, formations, and fire and manoeuvre.
Supplementary training is organised by our UK Armed Forces members to keep tactics up to date and relevant.
Wednesday and Sunday @ 2000 UK Time
Our missions and campaigns are all built in-house by our members, using our mission frameworks, scenario guides and templates. This creates a balance between challenging gameplay, immersive scenarios and fun.
Our in-house mod collection and community mods are all handled on the Steam Workshop, providing us with a variety of assets to play and create missions with.
British weapon, equipment and vehicle mods help us to model the type of fighting force we want to, while realism mods like ACE and TFAR enhance gameplay and add quality of life features.
